A.P.C.C.A. Wraps Its 2019 Season in Millarville

It was another 'Salmond Sweep' in Millarville, AB as the Alberta Professional Chuckwagon & Chariot Association closed the book on another action packed season ...

After back-to-back 2nd place finishes in Bashaw and Patricia, Weekes, Saskatchewan’s Wayne Salmond finally got his Wagon’s win … and, just in the nick time as the A.P.C.C.A. wrapped it’s year in Millarville this past weekend.

Salmond registered a 194.76 in the three-day aggregate, besting Mayerthorpe’s Louis Johner's 2nd place time of 195.92.

Buck Creek's Chance Thomson finished 3rd with a 196.63.

Vegreville’s Dwayne Dubuc finished 11th in the overall while Shane Cartier was issued a ‘no-time’ on Sunday, sealing a 34th place finish.

Meantime, it was sweet success for another Salmond in the Chariots as Twyla Salmond registered the fastest time in the aggregate with a 187.47.

Eckville’s Martina Hubl finished 2nd with a 189.36.

Vegreville's Dubuc fared better in the Carts, earning a 4th place finish with a 191.47.

With the final race of the year now in the books, the Alberta Professional Chuckwagon and Chariot Association will announce its Season Standing’s High Point Champions sometime this week before handing out the hardware at its annual Awards Presentation later this fall.
